File Manager
The following overview is based on the front and backend management that the site user and site administrator will enjoy.
(NB: The following is the system standard and will be tailored to the specific client requirement)
.: FILE MANAGER - Frontend User area
Site users have the ability to search for files by (plus additional search criteria as discussed):
- Author
- Title
- Category Search
- Sub Category
- Keyword
Once a site user has chosen their preferred search choice the system will direct the user through to the search results page. This page generally consists of a google style pagination facility, page numbers that are available to click as well as a next and previous.
The search results page shows a thumbnail image, title, author, more info button and download link.
If the user chooses the more information option they will be taken through to the file details page where the user will be able to see a the full information regarding the file. The information displayed woFiuld be:
- Title
- Description
- Author
- Category
- Document Format
- Download Link
.: FILE MANAGER - Backend Site Administration Area
The file management software enables the site administrator to fully manage online file management within the host website.
Admin has the ability to add / remove and update files as and when.
As admin wishes to add a file to the system they will be required to specify the following information (examples Only):
- Title
- Description
- Author
- Keyword
To ensure FTP clients are not required the file management system has the upload component integrated, this enable single or multi file upload, once admin has entered the information for the file software will display a browse option for admin to locate the file(s) from their computer, once the upload button is presed the file will be moved to the server.
