Dating Manager
The following overview is based on the front and backend management that the site user and site administrator will enjoy.
(NB: The following is the system standard and will be tailored to the specific client requirement)
.: DATING MANAGER - Frontend User Area
On entry to the site users will have the ability to browse through the website and view user posts as required. The user will have the ability to use the dynamic search facility to locate required matches.
The search panel would enable the user to search by:

In addition the system will offer an Advanced Search option where the user will have the ability to specify such things as:

Once the user has specified their search criteria they will be directed to the search results page where the system will display the matching results. The user at this point will have the ability to filter the list by:

Once the user locates a particular result of interest they will simply click the more details at which point they will be directed to the users detail page where the system will display the full information on the user, the information the system will display the full information as follows:

The user will have the ability to add a specific user to their favourites.

The ability to email a user is available from all pages, if the user is not logged in the system will NOT allow the email to be sent to the user. The user will be directed to the login / register page where they will be required to enter the necessary information.

New users to the site will have the ability to create an account as required, once the user has requested an account is opened they will be directed to the membership form where they will be required to complete the following form:

The system will enable the user to select from the following subscription options:
One Month (Recurring Payment)
• £ Price
Three Months 9 Recurring Payments)
• £ Price
Six Months (Recurring Payment)
• £ Price
Once the user has specified their account choice they will have the ability to enter the promotional code (if they have one) at which point the system will calculate the costs and discount accordingly. The promotional code could be based on a price discount or a month free with their subscription.
Once the user has completed the above information they will be required to check the Terms & Conditions. In addition the system will display for the user the following choice options:
- Do you wish to receive email updates?
- Do you wish to receive emails from 3rd Party Companies?
Once the user has completed the above they will be directed to the secure payment servers where they will be required to enter their card details and once entered press the transmit button.
Once this ahs been done the system will check the details in real-time and based on the users details being approved they will be directed to the thank you page where the system will display their order confirmation together with their order number and confirming their account details.
In addition the system will automate a formatted HTML email to the user confirming their full account information.
The user at this stage can login and manage their account.
.: User Homepage Management Area
The client homepage management facility enables registered users only to enter the client homepage area where the system will display for the user product alerts based on their profile settings where the system will display the latest products that have been added to the site since they last logged in and also their user management area where they will have the following options:
- Manage Profile
The user once logged in will have the ability to fully manage their profile settings as required. The user once the changes have been made will simply press the update button at which point the changes will be saved.
- Manage Details
The user will have the ability to manage their contact information and their password.
- Manage Emails
The system includes an internal mail facility to ensure when users mail each other the information is sent within the system as oppose to emailing the user via Outlook / Outlook Express etc.
The user who has received the mail will have the ability to respond accordingly.
- Manage Favourites
o The user will have the ability to fully manage their favourites as required. Once favourites have been added the user will have the ability to remove specific users if required.
- Manage Stats
The system will display for the user full stats based on the number of times their account has been viewed, if the user that looked at the account was logged in the system will display their full information.
All usernames will be clickable to enable the user to click a name and view the users full details.
.: DATING MANAGER - Backend Site Administration Area
The software is designed to ensure all aspects of the management of the website are able to be handled in house by the site administrator. The private area of the website is called Site Manager and requires a username and password to gain entry.
The system is broken down to the following areas:

To ensure all orders are managed properly the system includes a full order management facility. All orders that are approved are instantly written to the orders management database and are available to browse on a monthly basis.
All orders received are given a unique order number which is confirmed to the client on their thank you email.
As mentioned admin receives an email notifying them there has been an order, this email includes the order number for ease of location.
Once admin has entered Order Manager the system defaults the display to the current month and shows all orders received on a line format. Once admin clicks the order number the full order information is displayed including the customers details and also the order information.
On an ongoing basis the system enables admin to browse through all months the system has been trading for. The information the system gives as standard is the number of orders and the total sales within a particular month.
.: User Manager
User Manager enables the site administrator to fully manage user access to the website. Will have the ability to browse users or search for specific users. Once admin locates a specific user they will have the ability to view the users full information including their profile settings and account details.

As required admin will have the ability to suspend user account if required.
.: Bulletin Manager
Prior to entering the Bulletin Manager area site users will be required to register with the site and supply a valid email address. Once the user has confirmed their details they will have the ability to login to the bulletin area and add content as required.
The bulletin system enables admin to run a fully dynamic bulletin board facility to enable site users to post comments and replies for other users to view and respond to.
Admin has the ability to create the Forums within the bulletin facility, the Forums are completely unlimited and enable admin to create as many as required.
From the back office of the system admin has the ability to browse the posted bulletins and if required can choose to remove any comments that have been published.
Site users on entry to the bulletin board will select the Forum they wish to enter, once they have chosen this the system will display the postings that have been made. The user has the ability to post comments against previously added posts and if required can create threads that enable them to create a sub forum to enable the postings to diverse into another area within the main Forum.
Site users will have the ability to search the bulletin board by keyword and once the user has selected this option the system will display all postings that contain the searched keyword.
NOTE: it is strongly recommended that there is a dedicated email address for users who have an ‘issue’ with a posting that appears within the bulletin area and they wish for admin to remove it.
.: Chatroom Manager
The chatroom software enables the host website to run a real-time chat forum for its site users.
The chatroom software offers the ability to setup multiple chat rooms to ensure specific topics can be talked about. Prior to the user entering a chatroom they are required to enter their email address and specify a username for other chat room users to see. Once the user has done this they will enter the chat room and join in the chat. To enable the user to catch up on the current chat the system displays the last one hours chat information for them to read and bring themselves up to speed.
From within the chat room site users have the ability to chat privately with another user, to do this the user simply clicks on a users name and the system will open a private window for only the two users to view and use.
Admin
From the back office of the website admin has the ability to fully manage the chat room.
Admin as required can create new chat rooms to enable specific chat forums to be created. The number of chat rooms admin runs is unlimited.
Admin has the ability to edit content that has been entered, or block a specific user. The blocking facility works with the users IP address so the blocking may only be temporary unless the user has a static IP address.
.: Stats Manager
The stats management software enables the site administrator to monitor site usage. The stats software is a bespoke software package and would be written to manage the following areas:

Daily Usage
Weekly Usage
Monthly Usage
- Referrer Information
Where traffic is coming from
Where traffic is going to
- Page Count
Which pages are being viewed
How often they are viewed within a time period
- User Usage
How often users are logging in

All stats information has the ability to be printed. Within the above report options is the ability for admin to date range the stats information.
